ABOUT Prasat Khao Lon
Khao Lon Temple is a small Khmer sanctuary located atop an isolated hill. To access it, one must stop near the modern temple at the base of the hill on the southeast, walk a bit north, and then continue almost due west up the hill along a rocky path. The temple originally comprised four towers though only one remains standing today. Although it would have originally been dedicated to a Hindu deity, the tower has been repurposed as a Buddhist sanctuary.
The design of the temple is similar to that of Prasat Khao Noi, located about 55 kilometers SSW at 13.584033 N, 102.527087 E (about 12 kilometers south of Aranyaprathet, near the Cambodian border).
